BOT Report
                                                
The GDA has sent a letter to the Georgia Department of Revenue to inquire about the department’s efforts and progress in equally enforcing the Use Tax.
The ADA expects to have 60 online CE courses available by April.
Law Day is March 22 (Wednesday)  Please plan to attend.
Medicaid  Amerigroup, WellCare, and PeachState are the three risk-bearing CMOs that were awarded contracts in the six regions.  All of the CMOs opted to sub-contract their dental services to either Avesis or Doral.
 GDIS is doing a great job meeting our Insurance needs.  If you are not currently using their products, look into it.  They may be able to save you some money.
The latest annual Gallup Poll reveals the percentage of Americans favoring a government-run health care system has reached a five-year high at 41%.

AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

LAW DAY, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22ND
This is the last scheduled LAW Day for the session. As proven in the past, this can be a crucial time with legislation being pushed through at the end.
The CDDS needs a good turnout again as we have in the past years.
Bill Argo and Paul Fraysure will be helping me organize the group with attendance and transportation.

Dental practice of the late Phillip Rigdon is for sale from his family.  Please contact Phillip Rigdon, Jr (478-954-2261) or his brother Todd at 918-4903.  The dental practice is 29 years old with over 1900 active patients.  It grossed 540k+ annually the past 3 years.  The building comes fully equipped

Alex Bell won the November meeting door prize - a Kodak digital camera.

Meeting called to order at 7:10pm
Attending:D.Spillers,S.Fisher,L.Holliday,J.Harrington,M.Loden , D.Holliman Smith,P.Fraysure,T.Ivey,B.Vedder,J.Bowman, D.Benton.

Approval of Minutes from Sept.EC Meeting.

Treasurers Report Provided by D.Benton,Noted final disposition of the Tri-District Mtg.Each District owed $822.04 to satisfy the shortfall. 

Legislative Report:J.Harrington spoke to the importance of excellent attendance for CDDS LAW Day on March 22,2006. Also the Legislative Reception on Dec 6,2005 at 7PM Macon City Club.   Jay also reviewed talking points on SB78.

Membership Report: None. Discussion of ways to enlist new members.We should all take time to seek new members and welcome them in.

Hygiene Advisory: Paul Fraysure noted new President at MGTC

Names for Scholarships have been submitted by Shelia Shah to be given Thurs. Eve.

GDIS: No Report

Board of Dentistry: Renewal Year so be ready to document your CE if audited! Be sure to give complete Licence Number including the prefix "DN".

Nominating Committee: B.Vedder,T.Ivey,C.McCroba and at-large members to select new V.Pres of District to Be voted on at the Feb.Membership mtg.

Discussion of Tri-District Mtg. and our willingness to participate.J.Harrington brought up issue of CE for the membership and possibly a Mtg on Fri. after our Thurs.Mtg.

A motion was made ,seconded and passed to Do a local Mtg and not continue with Tri-District at this time.

Discussion opened regarding communication with the Base at Robins and ways to make them feel welcome to the CDDS.

D.Spillers mentioned that he would take care of the door prize selection for Thurs. Mtg.Must be present to win.

S.Fisher made note of some activities of NCDHM in Feb.

Final note to have a moment of silence at the meeting Thurs. evening for the loss of our friend and colleague Phillip Rigdon
